Westend is a modern bar and restaurant located at 98 Little Malop Street. It is the site of the former Eureka Hotel; a nightclub that had been the centre of Geelongs music scene for decades. Unfortunately, the owners shut the nightclub in 2016 as less people were going nightclubbing.
Darryn Lyons put the venue up for sale in late 2017. It was snapped up quickly by a local consortium led by Bill Votsaris.
Bill Votsaris was part of a local consortium that bought the pub in 2017. Bill asked Cam O’Keefe to come on as the director of the new venue and, fortunately for us, Cam agreed. Cam shared more about his vision at Wave goodbye to Eureka, and say hello to Westend Geelong.

We took photos in 2018 prior to to redevelopment. We documented both the interior and exterior of the building. We also got photos of Darron Lyons election campaign signage on the windows.
