In May, 2020, I got photos of the Big Shed building in South Geelong. A townhouse development was planned for the site, but it sat empty for months. I’m not sure whether this was due to Covid issues or if it was part of the normal development.
I visited today and saw that the building had been partially demolished. According to the Construction Update page on the Bottleworks website, demolition started at the beginning of June.

Work at the former Dimmeys building has revealed original McEwans Hardware signage. McEwans Hardware operated from the building from 1966 until the 1980s. It was a popular hardware store before Bunnings became the main brand.[Read more…] about McEwans Hardware Signage Visible at The Regent Revelopment
