A number of local climate and environmental groups met today at the Geelong Carousel as part of a rally to mark World Environment Day. These groups include Extinction Rebellion Geelong, Animal Justice Party, Socialist Alliance and the Geelong Climate Choir.
They later marched around Steampacket Gardens and Eastern Beach.

Earlier today, IPAN Geelong Vic Southwest & Wage Peace held their monthly No Nuclear Subs, No AUKUS rally. The rally was held at 17a Yarra Street, which is the former office of Richard Marles.
The theme of the rally was “Housing not Warfare.”
