In March, 2023, the Central Geelong Framework Plan was released. The framework plan contained a list of new guidelines for building developments in the CBD.
The lack of consistent guidelines – and the Covid-19 pandemic – had led to developments stalling in Central Geelong. This has changed since the new framework has been announced.
There has been a lot of commercial real estate transactions since March this year. This page curates some of those transactions.
These buildings have either been bought with the intention to develop down the track or were advertised as having development potential. In some cases, they were sold prior to the frameworks announcement.
