Original Building

The original building officially opened in 1963. I took photos of the building in late 2018.
The building was vacated in August, 2019. It started to get boarded up in September.
The Demolition
Work started on the site in late September. Scaffolding had got gone up around the former GMHBA office and the smaller building at 80 Moorabool Street had been blocked off. By October 10, the smaller building had been partially demolished.
The original GMHBA building started to be demolished on October 18. They had made significant progress by November 10. A large portion of the building had been demolished and you could see the Worksafe building. By November 22, only a part of the buildings facade was remaining.
By December 4, the original building was mostly rubble. Just days later, the building at 78 Moorabool Street was starting to be demolished. Most of December concentrated on the internal work. I got photos of the facade of the building partway through demolition in late January.
The building was completely demolished by March 20.
