Geelong Convention and Exhibition Centre is a planned development on a site between Western Beach Road and Smythe Street. The project will include a hotel and both commercial/residential developments.
According to Regional Development Victoria, main works on site will start in late 2023 after a project partner is selected and all approvals are obtained.

In April, 2022, I noticed banners advertising the upcoming development. New banners went up in November.
The site was still being used as a car park in June, 2023.
