As Good As New operated from 127 Ryrie Street. We got photos during its final months of operation in 2019.

Ishka

Ishka opened in Geelong in 2011.

In February, 2020, the Geelong Advertiser revealed that the Ishka Chain was entering voluntary administration. I was able to get photos of the closing down signs early in March. By the end of April, the store was vacant.

Olive Green

Olive Green was open from August 2017 until May, 2018

Thule Trading

Thule Trading operated from 82 Little Malop Street from September 2015 until May 2019.

Fashion

Bardot

Bardot was a popular fashion brand that operated from Westfield.

In late November, 2019, the brand announced that it was going into voluntary administration.

By Christmas, the store was having a massive clearance sale. At that time, there was an assumption that the store was closing down but no formal announcement. An announcement was made in early January.

By February, the storefront was empty.

Entertainment

Real Music Vinyl & CDs

Real Music Vinyl & CD’s was a staple of the Little Malop Street West precinct for four years. It operated from 83 Little Malop Street.

It closed down late 2019. The business was featured in Forte Mag.

Jewellery

Thomas Jewellers

Thomas Jewellers operated from the National Mutual Building at 54 Malop Street for almost 40 years.

It announced that it was closing down in October, 2017. The Geelong Advertiser covered this at Thomas Jewellers to shut Geelong store in Moorabool Street after four decades of operations.

We got photos in 2018 after it had closed down. We had previously gotten photos of a window display in July 2017.

The store had undergone a refurbishment in 2012.

Wild Rumpus

Wild Rumpus was a disability service provider that operated for 7 years. Part of that time was spent at 78 Ryrie Street. It closed mid 2019. You can read more about the closure here.

Hilary Homes Makeup
