A temporary rainbow crossing has been installed at the Moorabool Street entrace to Little Malop Street. A permanent crossing will be painted across the nearby intersection at a later date.

From the Geelong Addy:

The Friday opening of the city’s first rainbow crossing coincided with the launch of the weekend-long Geelong Rainbow Festival, celebrating the region’s queer community through a range of events

The crossings are being painted in support of the region’s LGBTIQA+ community, and also to increase visibility of crossings to traffic in order to improve accessibility.
