The Laneway Project was the first step in turning the area of Little Malop Street between Gheringhap and Moorabool streets into a pedestrian-friendly destination. The road width was reduced and it was styled to become more of an al-fresco dining area. They added extra street trees, street art opportunities and improved lighting.
It is part of the Laneways Action Plan.

Laneway Street Party
The Little Malop Street West precinct officially opened in December, 2017. To celebrate, a free street party was held on December 8th.
The street party targeted all ages and started at 4pm. We got photos of people enjoying the laneways in the afternoon.
We also got photos of the Geelong Cosplay Society.
