One of the highlights of our recent trip to the National Wool Museum was the Reminiscence Cottage. According to the Geelong Australia website, the ‘cottage project explores the world of yesteryear in a hands-on cottage space for all audiences and specifically individuals living with dementia and their care partners’.
Neither Glenn and I have such issues but still got a lot out of the space. It reminded us of visiting our grandparents and even of parts of our own childhood. We thoroughly enjoyed it and plan to return to explore the sensory aspect.
