The new isolation rules have meant that I haven’t been able to go into town or explore other suburbs to get photos. Instead, I’ve been doing regular walks around Corio. I’ve been getting photos of interesting buildings as well seeing how specific businesses are impacted.
I’ve been getting to know my neighbourhood a lot better lately. This also means getting to know some of the residents behaviour better. I noticed a car hooning at a car park at Stead Park on my previous visit. This time, there was a lot of evidence of people hooning in between the fOrt Youth Centre and KFC.
Isolation brings out the best in some people. Less so with others.
Late in 2019, I was able to watch the Northern Skate Park being developed. I would frequently go past in the bus as a a playground was removed and this slowly built. It officially launched for public use in January 2020. The project cost $550,000 and is part of the Stead Park Masterplan.
